　　小时候,妈妈在哄我睡觉的时候,会给我读故事

　　momma['mɑmə]跟Mom和Mother都是同一个意思。

　　cell:细胞;牢房;电池的意思，cell phone手机 The radio won't work, if you swap the cell's polesover. 如果你把电池的正负极颠倒了，收音机就不会响了。

　　depend on sb依靠某人：You can't depend on your parents forever.你不能永远依赖你的父母。Idepend on you to do it.这件事我就指望你了。

　　I'd rather=I would rather 我宁愿...I would rather travel by train than by plane我宁愿乘火车也不愿乘飞机旅行。

　　rescue:V营救，救援：Her own boat capsized after she attempted a rescue. 她在设法营救别人时自己的船也翻了.(capsize翻覆;弄翻)

　　slay，v屠杀;使某人绝倒，压倒、折服;
