　　floor: n. 地板，地面;楼层;基底;议员席 vt. 铺地板;打倒，击倒;(被困难)难倒

　　Our office is on the second floor.我们的办公室在二楼。

　　has/have the floor发言

　　The floor is yours. You may present your argument.你可以发言陈述你的论点了。

　　Since I have the floor for the moment, I want to go back to a previous point.借此发言的机会，我想回到前面的一个问题。

　　take to the floor：跳舞(走进舞池)

　　The happy couple and their respective parents took to the floor.这一对幸福的小夫妻以及他们各自的父母开始跳起舞来

　　business：n.商业;企业;事务;生意;事情; 事物

　　Business is always brisk before Christmas.圣诞节前生意总是很兴隆。( brisk adj兴隆的, 繁忙的 轻快的, 活泼的)

　　My father built his business on years of hard work. 多年的打拼之后，我父亲创立了自己的事业。

　　We must finish up this business in a day or two. 我们必须在一两天内把这事给了了。

　　mean business 认真的，严肃的;

　　I could see by the gun in his hand that the robber meant business.从他手里的枪我知道这个劫匪不是在开玩笑。

　　You just don't argue anymore

　　有时候you根据语境其实并不指的‘你’，而是一种泛指。来看看使用语境加深一下理解：

　　‘Well, you get used to it!’.呃，习惯了就好了。(这里就不能翻译成‘你’)

　　‘You don't want to lose your job, do you?’我可不想丢掉工作啊。
