　　法国将自己视作世界葡萄酒中心。然而在今天的勃艮第酒庄可能会遭遇尴尬，因为一项研究进一步提供证据证明将葡萄酿成一杯红酒的工艺来自于今日的意大利。这项研究发表在《国家科学院学报》上。

　　Archaeologists have found containers, called amphoras, at sites along the French coast. The2,500-year-old vessels had characteristics of wine bottles used by the Etruscans in what'snow Italy. But did these amphoras actually contain wine?

　　考古学家在法国海岸线上的遗址中发现了一种叫做“双耳罐”的容器。这件具有2500年历史的器皿与伊特鲁里亚人(古意大利人)使用的酒杯具有相同的特点。但是这些双耳罐确实是用来盛酒的吗?

　　Researchers looked at 13 Etruscan amphoras that had been excavated whole in the Frenchcoastal town of Lattara, an ancient import-export center. They also examined a limestoneplatform that looked to have been a wine or olive press.

　　研究人员观察了13只在法国沿海城市 Lattara 完整挖掘出来的伊特鲁里亚双耳罐。Lattara 在古时候是法国的进出口中心。他们还检查了一座石灰石平台，这座平台看起来像是一座废弃的葡萄酒或橄榄油闸。

　　Based on chemical analyses, it's likely that the amphoras contained wine. And the press didnot start being used on grapes until decades after the amphoras arrived. These artifacts implythat the Gallic locals first had their wine shipped in and later began the development of theirown wine-making techniques—probably using vines also transplanted into the area. Looks likeFrench wine, like Napoleon, is really an Italian import.

　　通过化学分析，发现双耳罐内残存有红酒。而且直到双耳瓶出现在法国几十年后之后，葡萄酒闸才开始投入使用。这些工艺品意味着法国当地人品尝的葡萄酒是船运来的，之后他们才开始发展自己的葡萄酒制作工艺，并且他们还有可能把葡萄藤移植到了本地。看起来像“拿破仑”牌这样的法国酒都是从意大利进口的。
